Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) – On May 11, 2024, a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper was patrolling the area of US Highway 93 North and observed a vehicle traveling south at a high rate of speed. The trooper activated his front radar, which detected the speed of the vehicle at 102 mph in a 70 mph zone. The trooper activated his emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic stop of the vehicle.
The vehicle did not stop right away and turned into the Town Pump parking lot at the Wye. The vehicle attempted to pass between a pickup with a camper and a chain fence. However, the driver stopped and did not allow the vehicle to proceed further. The trooper conducted a felony stop and identified the driver as 18-year-old Dvea Acevedo.
