WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Boston man was arrested for driving 130 mph on Interstate 84 in Willington, state police said.
According to state police, around 11 a.m. on Saturday Troop C in Tolland witnessed a car speeding.
Troopers tried to catch up but the car was using all three lanes to pass traffic, state police said. Once troopers were able to get behind the car, they clocked its speed at 130 mph.
The trooper stopped the car at Exit 70 in Willington, state police said.
Zhenyang Xu, 21, of Boston, was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and six counts of improper passing.
He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 24.
