Suffolk County Police released new details Monday about the sedan involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 24-year-old Lake Grove woman early Saturday morning.
Detectives believe the vehicle that struck Sampada Aduulla as she crossed Nesconset Highway near Hallock Road about 6:20 a.m. was a 2006 or 2007 dark gray Honda Accord. Authorities provided a photo of the model — as seen above — in hopes of generating leads.
Aduulla was pronounced dead at the scene after the driver fled eastbound on the highway. Police are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or the crash to contact the Major Case Unit at 631.852.6555 or submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1.800.220.TIPS.
