Cristian Mendoza-Baquiax’s passenger was killed in the crash and several others sustained serious injuries.
A Riverhead man was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison Tuesday for driving drunk and causing a deadly seven-car pileup, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors say Cristian Mendoza-Baquiax had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system during the incident in August.
His passenger died in the crash and several others sustained serious injuries.
