U Fo Ng, 68, was parked along the Nassau Expressway just outside JFK when a box truck struck and ultimately killed him Sunday, police said.
QUEENS, NY — A hit-and-run box truck driver killed a motorist parked on the shoulder of a Queens expressway outside JFK Airport, police said.
U Fo Ng, 68, died after the Sunday afternoon crash along the Nassau Expressway, NYPD officials said.
Police said Ng had parked a Honda CRV on the expressway’s shoulder about 1:30 p.m. when an as-yet-unidentified driver behind the wheel of a box truck drifted off the road and struck the vehicle near the JFK Expressway’s exit, authorities said.
The box truck’s driver did not stay after the crash, police said.
Medics rushed NG to Jamaica Hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead, officials said.
